A chance to visit Iceland. This time to speak on behalf of Patagonia to the European surf media about the performance, materials & sustainable ways Patagonia wetsuits are built. Earlier this year I had the opportunity to visit the farms & factories in Guatemala where the natural rubber for these wetsuits is sourced. It's been about ten years in development. Today,  Patagonia-Yulex wetsuits are up to par with industry leaders delivering warmth, flexibility & durability while using sustainable practices.

To my surprise when departing Puerto Rico, I got a text form Kohl Christiansen letting me know that he was going to come grab me from Reckovic airport upon arrival to join him, Bryan Iguchi, Jeremy Jones, Forrest Shearer & photographer Andrew Miller to explore the southern coast of the island in search of surf. Once on this northern island I got to see a glimpse of untouched beauty, raw elements and the most diverse of landscapes I have ever witnessed. With almost 24 hours of day light and the help of our local guide Ingo, we were sure to find waves in a couple days time. Feeling like the adopted child of these snowboarding legends I could only imagine what the rest of their trip was like. As they had just come back from a snowboarding/sailing excursion that sounded like the trip of a life time.

People some times ask what is the job description as an Ambassador for Patagonia? What does it entail? It's safe to say that a big part of our job is to have fun doing what we love. We are given product to test in the harshest of elements and then asked to deliver our opinions and report how the gear is performing. With tons of honest feedback this is the way that we can develop the best product possible.
